Brody's Autumn Wardrobe
We caught up with our wild spirited brand ambassador Brody Durkin, to see how life is since she left the sunny north and headed down south to pursue her vet nursing career and chase waves in the South West of WA.
When she's not out surfing or riding dirt bikes, Brody is exploring what our beautiful home state has to offer.
Q: So, why the move from the sunny north to the south west?
A: I got an amazing job offer in the south west at the start of Feb ‘21, that involved making the big move. It was quite scary doing it on my own but I am now closer to my family and couldn’t be happier.

Q: Are you loving it? What’s your favourite thing about being down south?
A: It’s a slow and steady change for me, I can’t say I love somewhere until I’ve spent a solid amount of time in one place, but so far it’s shaping up very well!
My favourite part is that you can always find a wave, even on the small days.

Q: What are you doing down there? Besides surfing….
A: I am now working permanently at the Dunsborough Veterinary Hospital, as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Q: Favourite surf spot so far?
A: I haven’t explored many out of the ordinary yet, surfed bears a few times with the ladies. My new 5’11 ‘Sista Brotha’ goes well!

Q: Are you vibing the new Rusty Women’s Autumn collection? What’s your favourite thing about the new collection?
A: Autumn collection is unreal, every season for me gets better and better. The brains behind the collection definitely show through their product. My top pick for this season is the Folktale Knit, as it’s coming into the colder months. Also the love wild set, easy to chuck on when you are running out the door and is sure to make a statement.
