Animal Collective are set to release their new record, Centipede Hz, on September 4 in the U.S. and September 3 internationally via Domino. If you pre-order the album, you get an accompanying DVD offering DVD playback of the album, footage from their July 2011 show at Brooklyn's Prospect Park, and other hi-def video files. Check out the specifics here. The album cover also seems to have changed slightly. (Check out the new one above.)
UPDATE: The audio playback on the DVD is super high-resolution 24 bit / 96k, which is comparatively much higher quality than the CD version of the album.
