Tom In Tha Woods
How long did it take for you to put together your Innersection entry??It took roughly about two months to film and it was a pretty planned process. It only took us about a week to put it all together. We weren’t filming the whole time during the two months though, because the waves were pretty average. It would have been nice to score some better waves but we couldn’t do anything about that. We just had to work with what we had.
How important is it to have an entry??I think it’s pretty important to have an entry. I’m at the stage where I need to get myself out there. I think having an entry on Innersection is the perfect way to get your name out there and show people how you surf.
Being so young in the competition, how do you take the criticism??The criticism hasn’t been bad at all. There have been a few comments about the choice of song but that’s about it. All the comments are pretty good and I’m happy with it. I think the only unfair thing about Innersection is that a lot of people get their friends to vote for them. They’ll vote for their friend’s section and give it a ten and rate everyone else’s a one. It makes your rating lower and ruins your chance of winning.
Is there anything you don’t like about your clip now that it’s online??I don’t reckon there is anything that I don’t like about my section. I’m happy with the whole product. Overall, I think it’s a pretty good section and I think it’s a bit different with the intro and lifestyle stuff.
What would it mean to you if you won??If I won it would be the best thing ever. I know my section is not the best on there though. There are some really sick sections on there. My top five would be Ry Craike, Damien Wills, Brent Dorrington, Lucas Rogers and Shaun Cansdell. I wouldn’t be surprised if any of those guys won.
